"Have compassion for all beings, rich and poor alike; each has their suffering. Some suffer too much, others suffer too little." - Buddha
Master thangka painter Lalman Lama was born in 1961 in the Ramechappe region of Nepal. Starting at the age of ten, he learned the techniques of thangka painting from his grandfather, mastering those demanding skills within a three-year period.
At 13, Lalman Lama was sent to a local monastery to sell some of his paintings. When the monks asked for the price of his paintings, Lalman replied that he had no idea, he had never sold any before, and offered a number. Impressed and inspired by the quality of the young Lalman’s work, the monks paid him double the amount Lalman had requested. Such was the beginning of Lalman’s career as a thangka painter.
Lalman Lama has also branched into other forms of painting, including abstract designs of hypnotizing appeal. To date he has sold both traditional and contemporary work to clients all over the world. His first priority remains traditional thangka painting, which, though strict with respect to technique and geometry, and extremely demanding in terms of execution and detail, gives him the most freedom to express transcendence in the form of Buddhist deities embodying universally enlightened qualities.

Siddhartha Gautama, also known as Shakyamuni, is the key figure in Buddhism, and accounts of his life, discourses, and monastic rules were summarized after his death and memorized by the sangha. Passed down by oral tradition, the Tripitaka, the collection of discourses attributed to Shakyamuni, was committed to writing about 400 years later.
Maitreya Bodhisattva is the future Buddha of this world. Maitreya is a Bodhisattva whom Buddhists in general believe will eventually appear on earth, achieve complete enlightenment, and teach the pure Dharma. Maitreya Bodhisattva will be the successor of the historic Shkyamuni Buddha. He is predicted to be a “world-ruler”, uniting those over whom he rules.

One of the most widely known forms of Tara is White Tara, who is known for compassion, long life, healing and serenity. She is also known as The Wish-fulfilling Wheel, or Cintachakra.

Such mandalas consist of an outer circular mandala and an inner square (or sometimes circular) mandala with an ornately decorated mandala palace placed at the center. Mandalas are commonly used by Buddhists as an aid to meditation and, more specifically, a Buddhist mandala is envisaged as a "sacred space,"
